These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Leo Makkinje ("the developer"), the maker of Highlights. By downloading, installing, or using Highlights, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The developer grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Highlights on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's App Store Terms of Service. Highlights and all of its content, design, and code remain the property of the developer.
Highlights lets you write a short highlight each day, optionally attach a photo from your library and a personal note, and revisit past highlights over time. Everything you write is stored locally on your device. See the Privacy Policy for how that works.
Highlights is free to use for your first 30 highlights. After that, an optional one-time purchase, shown in the app, unlocks unlimited highlights. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store, are not subscriptions, and don't create an account. Refunds are handled by Apple according to its own policies, not by the developer.
You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute Highlights, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.
Highlights is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer doesn't guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Highlights.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Highlights. In the event Highlights fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, for that app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding Highlights. The developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to Highlights, including product liability claims, claims that Highlights fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection law.
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms of Use, and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these terms against you.
If these terms change, the update will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
