Quavery is a musical instrument app for iOS that you play by moving your face. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it. In short: nothing leaves your device.
Quavery uses your iPhone's TrueDepth camera and Apple's ARKit framework to track facial movements — for example, opening your jaw or raising your eyebrows — and turns them into musical control signals like pitch and volume in real time.
This processing happens entirely on your device. Quavery does not record, save, transmit, or upload your camera feed, face data, or any images. Face-tracking data is read live, used for a fraction of a second to shape the sound you're playing, and then discarded. The developer has no access to it, and it is never shared with anyone.
Quavery does not collect any personal data. The app has no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. You don't need an account to use it.
Quavery stores a small amount of information locally on your device, such as your app preferences and whether you've completed the onboarding tour. This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to the developer.
Quavery offers an optional tip jar so you can support the app if you'd like. Tips are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store — Quavery never receives, sees, or stores your payment information. Tips are one-time and don't create an account or a subscription.
Quavery does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal data at all.
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
